Day 4 - Vatican City

Today we went to Vatican City. I'm still in overload from all the art we saw. It was astonishing, I never thought I'd get tired of taking pictures of ancient artwork, but I was wrong. There is so much art and history there that your brain becomes numb after a while. Not to say it wasn't an incredible experience, but it was simply overwhelming, you could spend days in there pouring over all the incredible paintings, sculptures and tapestries and maybe one day we will. A highlight of the day was being in the Sistine Chapel and seeing all of Michelangelo's artwork that Ive read and heard about all my life. It was a another fantastic day. Tomorrow is going to be more chilled out, maybe hang out by the river, see a castle or something, then we are off to Venice the next morning!
